Your Guide to the Best Dining Experiences in Grenada
In recent years, Grenada has gained a reputation for its expertise in food gastronomy. And as such, we wanted to share with you our favourite places to dine out on the island.
Rhodes Restaurant
Since Gary Rhodes involvement since 2004, Rhodes Restaurant has become the only one of its kind in Grenada. A quietly elegant yet upscale dining experience, our experienced chefs have created the perfect marriage of using fresh ingredients with local flair to a sophisticated standard. Under the twinkling lights and cool Caribbean breeze, dining at Rhodes is always guaranteed to be a special occasion.
Carib Sushi
You might not think at first that Grenada would even compare to the sushi in Japan, but think again. Running for over 20 years, Carib Sushi quickly gained a reputation for its high quality sushi. Between the fresh fish, avocados and mangoes we are blessed with on the island, sushi done right here is a match made in heaven. Worth it for the New Style Sashimi alone. Believe us, you won’t regret it.
Sails
A popular restaurant amongst locals and tourists alike, Sails’ expertise is the island’s local fish. Located on the Carenage in the capital town of St. George’s, where the fisherman bring in their fresh catch daily, you are guaranteed that you’ll find fish no fresher anywhere else. Not only is the cuisine exquisite, but the setting at the heart of the harbour on the water’s edge, you can hear the bustle of town in the same breath as the ocean’s waves lapping on the decking. Not to be missed.
Nori
Our very own Nori, our most recently opened restaurant at Calabash is a more relaxed evening dining experience, offering a fusion of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine. Its been a hit for those seeking a more laid-back atmosphere. The eclectic variety can be summarised as thoughtful creations using bright, zesty ingredients. Every mouthful is a delight for the tastebuds, without the heaviness on your stomach. Dishes are designed to be shared and paired with original cocktail creations. You won’t regret it.
The Aquarium Restaurant
A bustling Sunday lunchspot for locals, the Aquarium was recently renovated to a style that has echoes of Tulum in Mexico. A laid back atmosphere on a lively beachfront, with fresh seafood and cocktails. What more do you need?
Beachside Bistro
The owners of Carib Sushi opened up a Beachside restaurant on Grand Anse beach, this time opting for a Mediterranean style of cuisine using fresh local ingredients. Imagine the Italian Riveria passing through France and ending up in Grenada. Similarly their dishes are designed for sharing, offering a refreshing alternative on the island with a European summertime vibe. Expect fresh handmade pastas such as ravioli and linguine alongside octopus and lobster.
Beach Club at Calabash
Calabash’s own beachside dining is tucked away on Prickly Bay, a more private and secluded spot where you can forget the world if only over lunchtime. Reknowned for its inventive tapas featuring Lobster Wontons, Nourish bowls and Steak Tostones, paired with an Aperol Spritz and quick dip in the sea to cool off, you can’t go wrong. Our top tip— try out the fresh local fruit and vegetables juices made in-house daily.
